Why I Coach
Your work means something to you, and you want to feel good about it. You’re committed to making a positive difference, and you have the right credentials and great experience.
But it’s not that simple, right? Workplace challenges prevent you from doing the amazing work you want to accomplish and know you can do.
I love helping people like you have greater influence in their organizations, feel more comfortable as leaders, make more impact in their fields, and increase their career satisfaction.
Through powerful private coaching sessions, introspective exercises, and customized real-life experiments, my clients learn how to stop reacting and start being intentional about their work relationships, their leadership styles, and their careers. They develop new ways of interacting, thinking, and behaving, so that they can shine like they know they can.

My History
I bring 20+ years of leadership and management experience, along with a lifelong passion for learning and personal development, to my coaching clients. Many of the situations my clients face are ones I have personal experience with: I've supervised teams, headed departments, directed projects, worked under bosses, managed client relationships, developed and managed budgets, and written proposals.
I have worked in small, mid-sized, and large organizations, in the nonprofit, corporate, and government sectors. I hold an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management and a bachelor's degree in economics from Boston College. I also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal.
I felt good about the positive impact my work was having, but over time I realized that my greatest strengths and deepest enjoyment lay in working one-on-one with individuals. I'm deeply curious about people, and my supportive, intuitive presence provides a comfortable setting in which they can relax and open up. I decided to bring these gifts more directly into my career by combining them with my management and leadership experience to become a coach. In 2010, I earned a leadership coaching certificate from the Georgetown University Institute for Transformational Leadership and then attained my Professional Certified Coach (PCC) accreditation from the International Coach Federation, the leading credentialing agency for coaches. And the rest is history.
Now I have the pleasure of working with clients in diverse locations as they make sense of their challenges, become aware of their unique strengths, and start living the fullest version of themselves. In addition to my coaching work, I am a certified yoga teacher and conduct professional and personal development workshops. I live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland with my husband, daughter, and rowdy Australian Labradoodle.
